The Notebook (2004)

One night around 11pm, the house was in silence again after the kids were asleep, i thought i must watch the movie 'The Notebook' before i put it off for i don't know how long more..as i have so many other movies which is in my 'pending list' to view. It is my cousin's DVD. She lent it to my aunt but unfortunately my aunt can't play it in her player. So my aunt lend it to me. Fortunately, i could play it in my player.
If you believe in love at first sight, this is how it would happen...I found the lead actor, Ryan Gosling acted so brilliantly. The actress, Rachel McAdams is 4 years his senior but there was this incredible chemistry between the both of them and you can feel it. It wasn't a surprise to me when i read that they are actually a couple now after starring in the movie. They won awards for Best Kiss and Best Choice Movie Chemistry.
It was really interesting and i was already 'in' the movie. There were 2 scenes from the movie that made me cry. There was about another 10 minutes left of the movie and the dvd stalled. Tried to rewind and play it again, didn't work, eject it and cleaned it, still did not play! So had no choice but to rent it from the online dvd rental which i'm currently subscribe to. Waited for a couple of days and watched the end of the show. Didn't end the way i wanted but it was alright.
The older couple in the movie was played by James Garner and Gena Rowlands.
Directed by Nick Cassavetes (Ms Rowlands's son) from an adaptation, by Jeremy Leven and Jan Sardi, of a novel by Nicholas Sparks.

My Verdict :
